Food Service Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Service Clerk to join our team at The GEO Group, Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of our food service department by completing daily office clerical tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Answer phones and take messages in a professional manner.
- Maintain complex indexes and files, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Type correspondence, reports, and other materials with precision and attention to detail.
- Operate office machines, such as adding machines, calculators, and copy machines, with ease.
- Maintain a software database for food service operations, ensuring accuracy and up-to-date information.
- Assist with food service compliance files and inventory management.
- Create daily meal delivery tickets with accuracy and attention to detail.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Demonstrated experience in office procedures and related clerical duties.
- Ability to interact professionally in individual and group settings.
- Ability to work effectively with a team of inmates and implement team strategy approaches to work assignments.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions, make minor decisions, and maintain company records.
- Ability to work with computers and necessary software.
- Valid driver's license required.
The majority of your time will be spent at your desk. You should also be able to lift, carry up to 20 lbs., climb, walk, stand (occasionally), and lift/carry up to 10 lbs., push/pull up to 40 lbs., bend, stoop, reach above shoulder level, and work with machinery (frequently).
Compensation and BenefitsPay: $16.20/Hr.
