Position Overview: Surgical Technologist

We are looking for a committed Surgical Technologist to support our surgical operations, ensuring high-quality care for patients across various demographics. As an integral part of the surgical team, you will assist in a range of surgical procedures under the guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid certification to practice surgical technology in Oregon
  • Option 1: Completion of a surgical technologist training program in the military or U.S. Public Health Service, with ongoing education requirements
  • Option 2: Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program, with certification from NBSTSA or within the last twelve months
  • Option 3: At least two years of surgical technology experience within specified timeframes, with ongoing education requirements
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification
  • Preferred experience or training in computer applications
Essential Skills and Competencies:
  • Time Management: Proficient in organizing and prioritizing tasks effectively
  • Social Awareness: Demonstrates understanding and compassion towards patients of all ages
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Instrument Proficiency: Familiarity with instrument handling and appropriate equipment usage in the surgical environment
