We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Scenic Artist to join our team at MGM Resorts International. As a Scenic Artist, you will be responsible for bringing our immersive worlds to life through the creation of captivating props, intricate sets, and stunning room decor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft stunning décor treatments for rooms, ceilings, entries, stages, and walls.
  • Utilize your artistic prowess to employ cutting-edge design direction and specifications to bring visions to life.
  • Expertly paint, cut, sew, glue, and assemble props, ensuring the production of impeccable, safe, and high-quality décor.
  • Manage the careful packing, unpacking, and inventory management of props and sets, safeguarding against damage and ensuring seamless transport.
  • Stay current on design trends, production techniques, and vendor products, sharing your knowledge and skills with the team to foster an environment of continuous inspiration and growth.
  • Lead crews in-studio or on installation and tear-downs on selected events.
  • Participate in event installation/tear-down and loading/unloading of vehicles as needed.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive work environment that thrives on creativity, collaboration, teamwork, recognition, and mutual respect.

Requirements:

  • Takes pride in their work and is committed to delivering high-quality results.
  • Is detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Is able to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Has a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of prior relevant experience in prop construction, scenic design, or a related field.
  • Has basic electrical experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Is certified or able to obtain Scissors lift and forklift certification.
