Job Title: Mixologist

Hotel Topeka at City Center is seeking a skilled Mixologist to join our team. As a Mixologist, you will be responsible for creating and serving a variety of cocktails, beers, and wines to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing and Inventory Management: Purchase needed bar supplies, stock and track all wine, liquor, and beer stocks, and have a full supply of glassware on hand, notifying management of any supply issues or shortages.
  • Customer Service: Verify customers' identification age to ensure they are of legal age and provide alcoholic drinks in compliance with federal, state, municipal, and corporate rules and regulations.
  • Drink Preparation and Service: Mix and deliver drinks to customers including alcoholic and non-alcoholic varieties of wine, beer, liquor, and mixed drinks.
  • Payment and Sales Management: Receive payments and settle patron checks and tabs, as well as correctly record daily sales totals in point of sale system.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform all restocking and cleaning activities as directed, including opening and closing duties.
Qualifications:
  • Customer Service Experience: Proven customer service experience with a strong patron-focused mentality.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Display excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers and coworkers.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working in food service is preferred.
  • Organizational and Time Management Skills: Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills.
  • Educational Requirements: Educational requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent GED certification.
