Job Summary:
St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is seeking a Chief of Cardiovascular Anesthesiology to lead our team of skilled professionals in providing exceptional care to children from throughout the Greater Philadelphia area and around the world.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric cardiovascular anesthesiology, with experience in operational, fiscal, and human resource management. They will be responsible for overseeing the quality program, developing and reviewing cardiac anesthesia pathways, and addressing intra- and inter-operational unit issues as necessary.

The successful candidate will also have excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to provide guidance and support to our professional medical staff. They will be expected to participate in the review of the hospital's compliance with requirements relative to the Graduate Medical Education Program, clinical accreditation bodies, and other applicable review agencies.

Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the quality program for cardiac anesthesia
Develop and review cardiac anesthesia pathways
Address intra- and inter-operational unit issues as necessary
Oversee workforce assessment, planning, and provider scheduling
Manage the operational unit's preparation of an annual departmental report
Ensure compliance with hospital policies and accreditation requirements
Participate in the review of the hospital's compliance with requirements relative to the Graduate Medical Education Program, clinical accreditation bodies, and other applicable review agencies
Provide leadership and mentoring to professional medical staff
Participate in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures

Requirements:
MD or DO degree
Graduate of an ACGME-accredited pediatric anesthesia fellowship
Unrestricted PA medical license
3+ years of post-fellowship experience in pediatric cardiovascular anesthesiology
ACGME-accredited residency program faculty experience
