Position Overview
Assists the Manager in the organization, planning, and promotion of assigned services. Demonstrates the ability to effectively oversee the functions of the Division and its personnel.

Essential Functions:
- Assists the Director in preparing the annual budget; identifies supply, personnel, equipment, and facility needs; presents justification for requests for additional personnel and equipment.
- Participates in scheduled Supervisors' Meetings to stay informed on intra- and inter-departmental concerns, problems, solutions, etc.
- Attends departmental and hospital meetings and in-services.
- Conducts Division meetings, at least monthly, to keep personnel informed and engaged in Division, Department, and Hospital matters.
- Coordinates the activities of the Division to accomplish work efficiently and effectively.
- Counsels Division personnel as necessary and in a timely manner for non-compliance with established policies and procedures; completes the disciplinary process with appropriate documentation.
- Maintains familiarity with, understanding of, and adherence to the Department's and the Hospital's policies and procedures.
- Ensures adequate staffing within departments supervised by analyzing needs based on provider requirements, employee needs, patient volume, and emergency situations; staffing assignments must uphold quality care standards while being cost-effective.
- Participates in policy development and revision.
- Responsible for interviewing, hiring, orienting, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, and terminating employees within departments of supervision to ensure the delivery of excellent healthcare.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required:
Education - High School Diploma/GED Equivalent: General Studies
Graduate - Radiology Program
Experience - 3+ years of Medical Imaging Technologists Experience
Certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Certification - American Heart Association (AHA); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification - Accredited University
Preferred:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Related Field or 3 years of Medical Imaging leadership experience
Experience - 1+ years of Supervisor Experience, 5+ years of Radiographer Experience
Certification - Advanced certification in modality supervising
Physical Requirements:
Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.
