Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Disassembly: Assemble and disassemble complex molds to meet customer specifications, ensuring accuracy and precision.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair mold issues within a reasonable cost and time frame, utilizing your technical expertise and problem-solving skills.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate necessary equipment, such as precision surface grinders, CNC milling machines, and EDM processes, with minimal supervision.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate and coordinate with vendors and team members to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with a cross-functional team of Tooling Engineers, CNC machinists, and other Mold Fabricators to achieve project goals.
  • Wire and Assemble Molds: Wire complete runnerless molds with supervision and assemble molds with hydraulic cylinders, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Mastercam Software: Utilize Mastercam Software to design and optimize mold components.
  • Mold Repair and Maintenance: Manage minor mold repairs and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure mold functionality.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 2 years of technical/trade school with an emphasis on tool making or equivalent experience, and 3 years of mold making experience with proficiency in precision surface grinding, CNC milling, and EDM processes.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Mastercam, and technical mathematical skills, such as geometry, trigonometry, and print reading.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 70 pounds and use precision measuring tools.
  • Authorization: Valid identification and authorization to work in the United States.
