The Environmental Service Hospital Housekeeper is a key member of our team at Xanitos, responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our client's facilities. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Daily Responsibilities- Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim to maintain a high level of aesthetic appeal.
- Clean and disinfect rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, and other work areas to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
- Sweep and/or vacuum floors to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
- Dust furniture and equipment to prevent dust buildup and maintain a clean environment.
- Polish metalwork to maintain a high level of shine and appearance.
- Wash walls, ceiling, and woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills to maintain a clean and tidy appearance.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash and waste to the disposal area to maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Replenish bathroom supplies to ensure a clean and hygienic environment.
- Transport small equipment or tools between departments to maintain efficiency and productivity.
- A yearly flu shot is required as a condition of employment.
- Experience in the janitorial industry is a plus, as is medical cleaning experience.
- A post-offer medical, background screening, and drug test are required.
- A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required, or equivalent.
The physical demands of this role include standing, walking, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time is required. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs is also required.
Work EnvironmentThe work environment is fast-paced and requires the ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
