POSITION OVERVIEW

The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused individuals to become part of our Food & Beverage team as a Bartender. This role is essential in ensuring that guests receive exceptional service in a friendly and professional manner, thereby enhancing overall guest satisfaction. The Bartender is responsible for maintaining the bar area’s appearance and ensuring prompt and courteous service throughout the establishment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Embody and demonstrate the GSR Vision and Mission Statement through daily work.
  • Deliver professional beverage service to guests and cocktail staff in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Process guest orders accurately using the POS system, creating checks for each transaction and handling payments efficiently.
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment at all times, including the removal of empty glasses and bottles, cleaning surfaces, and maintaining a tidy environment.
  • Prepare and maintain the bar setup daily, including restocking supplies and ensuring equipment is ready for service.
  • Engage with guests, responding to inquiries with a positive and clear communication style, and providing information about hotel services and local attractions.
  • Maintain regular contact with both internal and external customers to deliver optimal service.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A combination of education, training, or experience that provides the necessary knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to obtain and renew all required licenses (Gaming Registration, Alcohol Awareness Education Certification).
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on the needs of the business.
  • Commitment to exceeding the expectations of both internal and external clients.
  • Demonstrated integrity and respect for others.
  • Exhibit courteous and professional communication skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with others to achieve common goals.
