About the Role

Parker Towing Company is seeking a highly motivated and flexible individual to join our team as a General Labor/Cargo Handler at our Ashland City Terminal. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of cargo and materials through our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate skid steers, forklifts, and other equipment to move cargo and materials within the terminal
  • Assist with loading and unloading barges, as well as cleaning and maintaining them
  • Support crane operators and ensure the safe and efficient movement of cargo
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trailers, ensuring accurate scanning and documentation
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the terminal and its equipment
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse operations preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to lift at least 50 pounds unassisted
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, and occasional travel may be required
