Automation Control Engineer

Join Contech Control Services as an Automation Control Engineer, where we are looking for dedicated professionals with practical expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS), particularly in the configuration and programming of Honeywell systems.

Key Responsibilities:

The Automation Control Engineer will undertake a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Designing, specifying, and selecting control systems, including basic process control, safety systems, and communication protocols.
  • Planning, budgeting, organizing, and managing significant segments of automation projects.
  • Assisting in the development of control philosophies and functional specifications.
  • Providing regular updates to project managers for client reporting.
  • Ensuring the quality and integrity of the control system components of the project.

Qualifications:

Ideal candidates for the Automation Control Engineer position should possess the following:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with Honeywell Experion and TDC-3000 configurations.
  • Familiarity with Honeywell Safety Manager or other Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), DCS, PLC, or HMI systems is advantageous.
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Over 5 years of experience in control system engineering.
  • Proven track record in technical execution on both Front-End Loading (FEL)/Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) and Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects within the chemical and petrochemical sectors.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software applications.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position offering comprehensive benefits.

Standard Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Overtime: Occasionally available, compensated at an hourly rate.

Employment Type: Permanent.

Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel may be necessary.
