Infection Prevention Specialist

Ciena Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and passionate Infection Preventionist Nurse to join our team. As an Infection Preventionist Nurse, you will play a crucial role in designing and implementing systems to prevent or control infections in our healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and investigate healthcare-associated infections to identify areas for improvement.
- Assess infection prevention problems and develop recommendations for corrective action.
- Develop, review, and revise infection prevention policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct outbreak investigations and implement control measures to prevent the spread of communicable diseases.
- Provide educational offerings for orientation and ongoing inservices to promote infection prevention best practices.
- Collaborate with department heads and physicians to improve care and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Initiate follow-up on employee/resident exposures to communicable diseases and report as required by law.
- RN or LPN licensure in the state.
- Current CPR certification.
