Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician Class B to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units. Your expertise will ensure the safe operation of our fleet and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative maintenance on medium to heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Identify and repair basic failures and conditions on fleet diesel equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is roadworthy and compliant with industry standards.
  • Complete thorough documentation of work orders through our online Enterprise Asset Management system.
  • Install, replace, and repair onboard computers.
  • Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other critical parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, battery checks, and lubrication.
  • Train and provide guidance to junior mechanics.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair, including PMs, tire & wheel, air & air disc brakes, diagnosis, computerized diagnostics, electrical troubleshooting, and electronic component repair.
  • Preferred certifications in tire & wheel, brakes, AC &/or EPA, DOT inspections, transmissions, engines, and ASE Heavy Duty.
