We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at UTMB Health. The successful candidate will provide mental health evaluation and therapeutic intervention to patients within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice (TDCJ) and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department (TJJD).

As a Mental Health Specialist, you will work under the supervision of a Psychologist, Mental Health Manager, and/or Program Director. Your primary responsibilities will include interviewing, evaluating, and diagnosing patients with mental health needs.

You will also provide individual and group psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and develop, implement, and review Individual Treatment Plans. Additionally, you will assist with training and education of mental health, medical, and other staff.
