Position Summary:
Under the guidance of the Program Administrator, the After School Program Support Specialist will provide essential support to students in the After School Enrichment Services (ASES). This role emphasizes teaching assistance, student support, and collaboration with educators to facilitate a productive after-school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver hands-on instructional support across various subjects.
- Oversee and assist during snack time prior to classes and extracurricular activities.
- Create a safe and nurturing atmosphere for all participants and staff.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
- Exhibit the ability to establish and maintain boundaries for children through positive reinforcement.
- Monitor student behavior and manage discipline in a constructive manner.
- Execute all responsibilities with integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within classrooms and the campus.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities throughout the year.
- Supervise students while employing effective behavior management techniques.
- Comply with all dress code and behavioral standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Required Credentials and Experience:
- Associate's degree is required.
- Experience working with children in a classroom setting.
- Proficiency in computer skills is necessary.
- Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Ability to demonstrate critical thinking skills and implement lessons effectively in small group settings.
- Familiarity with digital arts platforms and open-source learning resources is preferred.
