Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Snowflake Developer to join our dynamic team at Lorven Technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, database management, and a deep understanding of Snowflake cloud data platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement efficient and scalable data models and pipelines using Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with data architects, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Optimize and tune data processes for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to integrate data from various sources into Snowflake.
  • Implement and manage security and data governance policies within Snowflake.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Snowflake infrastructure and data processing.
  • Stay updated with the latest features and best practices in Snowflake and data engineering.
  • Provide support and guidance to junior team members and conduct code reviews.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Snowflake Developer or similar role in data engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database design and development.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes (e.g., Apache NiFi, Talend, Informatica).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data integration services.
  • Understanding of data security, governance, and compliance practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Certification in Snowflake or related technologies.
  • Experience with additional data engineering tools (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or Java.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Understanding of machine learning and AI concepts.
