Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Lineman - Journeyman to join our team at Evergy. As a Lineman - Journeyman, you will be responsible for constructing, testing, maintaining, removing, repairing, and operating the underground and overhead distribution system. You will perform all electrical and non-electrical related duties, including substation work, and participate in regular safety training. Additionally, you will drive and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools, and perform minor service on trucks in the field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct, test, maintain, remove, repair, and operate the underground and overhead distribution system
• Perform all electrical and non-electrical related duties, including substation work
• Participate in regular safety training
• Drive and maintain company vehicles, equipment, and tools
• Perform minor service on trucks in the field

Requirements:

• High School or equivalent
• Successful completion of a recognized apprenticeship program for Journeyman Lineman or a minimum of two years' work experience as a Journeyman Lineman
• Documented, satisfactory performance of all standard tasks and responsibilities of a distribution lineman working for a public electrical utility and/or recognized utility contracting company
• Class A CDL and D.O.T certification as required by federal law
