Surgical Scrub Technician Job Opportunity at Vision Integrated Partners (Midwest)

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Scrub Technician to join our dynamic team at Vision Integrated Partners (Midwest). This is a PRN/Per Diem position that requires strong technical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

About the Role

As a Surgical Scrub Technician, you will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room. Your attention to detail and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.

The ideal candidate will have experience working as a scrub technician in a surgical setting, preferably with cataract and retinal surgery. You will need to possess excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively as part of a team, and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive patient information.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment at all times.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, restocking as needed, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to prepare patients for surgery, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Participate in emergency procedures, elective cases, and scheduled surgeries, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Ensure compliance with Universal Precautions and adhere to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • Able to stand and/or walk a considerable amount of duty time, meeting physical demands of the position.
  • Ability to push, pull, lift, and position light to heavy equipment and patients, adhering to lifting standards and regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, steps, and materials, including safety precautions and sterilization techniques.
  • Familiarity with fundamentals of anatomy, physiology, microbiology, and equipment maintenance.
Compensation Package

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
