Position Overview: The Product Management Teams at TE Connectivity oversee every facet of a product's lifecycle, from initiating new product development to overseeing manufacturing and marketing efforts. The Data and Devices (D&D) division within TE Connectivity is seeking a Manager of Product Management to spearhead the Global Connector product team, concentrating on Cloud, IoT, and Edge applications.

This role operates similarly to a General Manager, steering the comprehensive product strategy, business leadership, supply chain configuration, and product roadmaps to meet revenue and gross margin goals, ensuring the long-term viability and success of the product line.

The successful candidate will devise and execute strategies for new business ventures, identifying growth opportunities within key accounts and cultivating relationships with emerging customers and market segments. This position demands strong strategic insight, regional experience, and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Further refine and implement the global five-year strategic plan to drive profitable growth for the product portfolio, ensuring effective communication and cross-functional team alignment.
  • Engage with customers to comprehend their strategies and product needs, guiding internal development efforts to support those requirements.
  • Identify and address major trends that serve as growth catalysts for tactical sales and new product line development.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to execute significant customer programs from proposal to production, adhering to budget and timeline constraints while meeting technical specifications and profit objectives.
  • Develop product roadmaps that align with business strategy and collaborate with engineering and operations to create new products that fulfill current and future customer demands.
  • Oversee the product portfolio lifecycle and consistently pursue initiatives to streamline and optimize the Product Portfolio. Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, sales, or related fields.
  • Relevant industry experience is preferred.
  • Experience in managing direct reports is essential.
  • A four-year technical or business degree is required; an advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience is preferred.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to grasp technically complex concepts.
  • Creative and innovative thinker capable of contributing to product strategy development and execution.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, planning, organizational, and teamwork skills.
  • Experienced leader with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and establish strong internal and external relationships.
  • Advanced presentation skills, capable of effectively communicating complex concepts to ensure understanding and acknowledgment of critical information throughout the organization.
