About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst/Developer to join our team at MSTS. As a GIS Analyst/Developer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and developing our Enterprise GIS capability, supporting various programs and projects across the Nuclear Security Enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, maintain, administer, and upgrade GIS products and systems.
  • Contribute to problem-solving and issue resolution using established technical standards, practices, and procedures.
  • Define specifications for procurements and initiate purchase requests.
  • Assist in the design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of GIS desktop, web-based, and mobile applications.
  • Leverage built-in GIS development tools and open-source code to create original/custom database-driven solutions.
  • Participate in emergency response activities, including rapid development of GIS data and products.
  • Maintain a firm understanding of existing GIS databases, data models, and applications.
  • Collect, document, input, verify, and track GIS data and products.
  • Prepare and support the preparation of GIS data reports.
  • Assist in developing system, application, and user-training documents.
  • Maintain GIS Department systems.
  • Mentor less experienced staff in related technical areas.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a calculus-based (STEM) field, plus at least 2 years' relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining spatial software products, especially those based on the Esri platform.
  • Experience with C#, Python, HTML/CSS,.NET Framework/Core highly desired.
  • Firm understanding of relational database and data governance principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Able to deal with high-pressure environments and handle multiple tasks with shifting priorities, schedules, and requirements.
  • Able to prioritize and schedule multiple activities in the most efficient manner to meet required deadlines and management commitments.
  • Able to utilize independent judgment, creativity, initiative, and ability to apply knowledge and experience to resolve problems.
  • Able to follow oral and written instructions and follow through on all assignments.
  • Ability to communicate with all types of people, experience, and positions in a tactful, professional, and effective manner while screening and maintaining confidentiality.
What We Offer

MSTS offers a competitive salary range of $79,100.80 to $119,100.80, depending on the individual's education and experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a pension, and a 401(k) plan. Additionally, we provide paid time off, 96 hours of paid holidays, relocation assistance, tuition reimbursement, and more.
