Job Summary

The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Center is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sorter/Processor to join our team. As a key member of our production store team, you will play a vital role in sorting and processing donations to ensure they are ready for sale.

Responsibilities
  • Sort and process donations by inspecting and separating saleable from unsaleable items
  • Deliver a minimum of 300 store-quality garments per hour
  • Categorize and box seasonal clothing, bric, and shoes
  • Process, hang, and tag all sorted merchandise
  • Price all sorted merchandise and ensure quality, name brand, condition, etc., are considered to determine price
  • Sort and clean all saleable miscellaneous merchandise donations daily
  • Ticket all merchandise and assign an individual fair market price for each item
  • Place and maintain all merchandise in the required order and manner
  • Rag out merchandise in accordance with the Territorial ARC Rag Out Calendar
Requirements
  • Processing experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of clothing quality and price
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Can lift 50 pounds
Work Environment
