We're looking for a skilled Heating and Cooling Equipment Installer to join our team at Virtual Employee. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and cooling systems in various locations.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HVAC installation and repair, with a focus on ensuring seamless system operation and minimal downtime.

  • You must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in the service and repair of commercial HVAC equipment.
  • Proven experience as a Service or Maintenance Technician with expertise in responding to service requests and solving technical problems.
  • Proficient in using personal computers, handheld communication devices, and knowledgeable about CMMS software.
  • Able to read blueprints and schematics to aid in troubleshooting analysis.
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification is required.
  • Must obtain R-410A certification within 90 days.
  • Experience with pneumatic & DDC controls, and computerized building automation system controls.
  • Strong organizational, communication, planning, and interpersonal skills are necessary.
  • 10-hour OSHA Certification is desired; documented proof of safety training is acceptable.
  • A local and/or state boiler and refrigeration license is highly desirable.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Physical demands include frequent lifting of 50 pounds or more.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical equipment at various locations as assigned and dispatched.
  • Perform regular inspections and conduct preventive maintenance on building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
    • This includes routine lubrication, adjustment, cleaning, water treatment, and periodic testing of all building systems and equipment.
  • Record accurate data of daily equipment logs and inspect building mechanical and life safety equipment to ensure proper functioning.
  • Recommend strategies to enhance energy efficiency, dependability, and performance.
  • Adhere to professional standards in appearance and behavior while representing the company.
  • Operate a company-issued vehicle according to company guidelines.
  • Communicate activities through a web-based CMMS work order tracking system.
  • Purchase necessary materials for projects and address technical issues swiftly.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including fires, evacuations, and equipment failures.
  • Coordinate with customers regarding maintenance issues, work orders, and scheduled equipment shutdowns.
  • BUILD STRONG WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH CUSTOMERS, COLLEAGUES, AND SUPPLIERS.
  • BE AVAILABLE FOR AFTER-HOURS SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE AND EMERGENCY FUNCTIONS.
  • ENSURE ALL INSTALLATIONS AND REPAIRS ADHERE TO RELEVANT CODES, REGULATIONS, AND COMPANY POLICIES.
