Job Title: Twos Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and passionate Twos Teacher to join our team at Primrose School of Cupertino. As a Twos Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds of our young students and helping them develop essential skills for future success.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage daily functions for a class of children
  • Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis
  • Provide an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making
  • Ensure that all class bulletin boards are current and provide parents with an overview of the material taught in class
  • Accept responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common areas, and playgrounds
  • Assist and coordinate snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities
  • Attend all required staff meetings, workshops, and/or school functions as determined by the Director
  • Observe all rules and regulations about the health, safety, and care of children
  • Maintain a professional personal appearance, attitude, and work behavior at all times
  • Plan with Education Coach and implement approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials
  • Plan with the Director all required parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED
  • 12 core units classes with a grade of C or better required (child development, child-family-community, curriculum)
  • 3 units in Infant/Toddler required
  • Work experience in a licensed child care facility as a teacher
  • Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency (Title 22) including immunization, health screening, fingerprinting, and background check
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergencies
  • Proficient computer and internet skills
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional, and creative needs of young children
  • Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
  • Highly professional and dependable
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress
  • Strong organization skills, able to multi-task, and manage time to meet frequently changing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
