Respiratory Care Practitioner Transport Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner Transport to join our team at Methodist Children's Hospital. As a critical care respiratory therapist, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centered respiratory care to critically ill patients in a hospital setting and during transport.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and diagnose patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including those requiring ECMO therapy
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Administer respiratory care and life support therapies, including ECMO, to patients with severely impaired heart/lung function
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • State Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure
  • Associate Degree in Respiratory Care or related field
  • 2+ years of direct care respiratory care experience in a specialized critical care area (NICU, PICU, ED)
