Role Summary:
This position reports directly to the Executive Director of Quality Performance Improvement and is pivotal in ensuring adherence to various regulatory standards, including those set by the Joint Commission, OSHA, FDA, and the Department of Public Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee compliance with accreditation requirements and facilitate disease-specific certification activities.
- Coordinate program development and educational initiatives to align with regulatory standards.
- Manage operational processes for data collection, entry, analysis, and timely external submissions.
- Generate comprehensive reports and maintain communication with medical staff to promote quality improvement strategies.
Essential Duties:
- Stay updated on regulatory and accreditation standards, serving as a knowledgeable resource for clinical teams.
- Communicate changes in regulations and hospital policies effectively.
- Act as a liaison with external agencies regarding data submissions.
- Research and implement innovative technologies to enhance data management and quality improvement efforts.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Participate in special projects as directed and achieve established goals within set timelines.
Qualifications:
Education:
Graduate of an Associate's Degree in Nursing - Required
Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
Experience:
Minimum of three years of progressive clinical healthcare experience, including at least one year in performance improvement.
Licensure:
Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Georgia
Skills and Competencies:
Strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and capacity to work independently in high-pressure situations.
Note: This role requires attendance at mandatory quality and safety training programs, ensuring a safe environment for patient care at all times.
