Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our dedicated team at the Abbotsford Health Care Center. As an integral part of our healthcare services, you will work collaboratively with our Occupational Therapist to provide high-quality patient care in various settings.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and activities, under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist to develop and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for improving daily living skills.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • An Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of occupational health principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with medical imaging techniques and their applications in occupational therapy.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000 - $70,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications, as well as a comprehensive benefits package including:
