  • Maintain Equipment Availability: Utilize internal and external technical skill sets to maintain optimal equipment availability.
  • Communicate Changes: Ensure you are always informed about any changes that could impact the availability of required products and materials, and promptly communicate any potential consequences to others.
  • Supervise Contractors: Supervise contractors on site to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and company regulations.
  • Ensure Health and Safety: Make sure that the department operates in line with all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to prioritize the safety and well-being of staff and visitors.
  • Lead by Example: Encourage a culture of excellence by setting a strong example and ensuring that every team member understands and upholds the expected standards and behaviors.
  • Oversee Staffing Levels: Oversee and guide the team, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.
  • Drive Operational Success: Inspire and guide the team towards achieving operational success.
  • Manage Tasks and Records: Oversee the completion of tasks and ensure high performance and accurate record-keeping on appropriate systems.
  • Manage Department Budget: Manage spending within the Maintenance Department and be able to explain any budget deviations.
  • Develop Maintenance Team: Oversee the performance and growth of a skilled Maintenance team, ensuring they consistently achieve their goals and drive continuous improvement.
  • Support Company Policies: Support and ensure adherence to Health & Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards, and all other Company policies and procedures.
  • Develop Team Cohesion: Support, encourage, and develop the team, taking ownership for team cohesion.
  • Foster Positive Team Environment: Take initiative in fostering a positive team environment and actively engage with the maintenance team on the plant floor.
Requirements
  • Relevant Degree and Experience: Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree is preferred and a minimum of five (5) years of management experience.
  • Technical Capability: Technical capability and understanding.
  • Financial Management: Experience of managing Financial responsibilities for maintenance related functions.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • TPM Training: TPM based educational training a plus.
  • SMRP Certification: SMRP Certification is preferred.
  • CMMS Experience: CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System experience.
  • Maximo Experience: Maximo experience is preferred.
  • CPMM Certification: CPMM- Certified Plant Maintenance Manager is preferred.
  • Bilingual: Bilingual is preferred.
