Overview
Cleveland Clinic's Mercy Hospital is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Resident to join our ICU Stepdown team. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced caregivers and receive comprehensive training and support to develop your skills and advance your career.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to patients in the ICU Stepdown unit, working collaboratively with a success coach to establish and revise priorities for patient care.
- Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs, focusing on developing skills and knowledge in critical care nursing.
- Respond to data indicating risk to patients' health and initiate action to correct, reduce or prevent risk, seeking supervision and consultation as needed.
- Document patient care and progress in medical records, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- New graduate RN or less than one year of RN work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
