About Our Team:
Southern Hills Comprehensive Treatment Center, part of Acadia Healthcare's network, is a leading provider of medication-assisted treatment across the nation.
Responsibilities of the Addiction Recovery Counselor:
The Addiction Recovery Counselor plays a crucial role in facilitating our patients' treatment and recovery journey from opioid use disorder.
Counselors provide compassionate care through various methods, including both individual and group therapy sessions.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver compassionate guidance in individual and group therapy sessions.
Plan, manage, and document patient recovery processes.
Co-facilitate group or family therapy sessions as required.
Ensure timely and clear documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents.
Develop personalized treatment plans for each assigned patient.
Conduct initial and follow-up assessments.
Assess patient needs and determine if referrals to additional programs or facilities are necessary.
Plan aftercare for assigned patients as needed.
Provide crisis intervention to patients when necessary.
Manage case responsibilities for patients, ensuring tailored quality care.
Act as a liaison between referral sources and patients when required.
Qualifications:
Required Education, Skills and
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a social or health services field is essential;
Degree must be from an accredited institution.
Prior experience and knowledge in addiction recovery and/or MAT (medication-assisted treatment) settings.
