Data Designer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Designer to join our team at Manpower Group Inc. in Akron, Ohio. As a Data Designer, you will be responsible for analyzing, creating, designing, maintaining, and communicating conceptual, logical, and physical models to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of standards and best practices for data design, naming conventions, and coding practices to ensure consistency, optimal performance, high-quality data, and reduced redundancy.
  • Translate business needs into conceptual, logical, and physical data models that align with design standards and best practices, collaborating with business stakeholders and IT members.
  • Design and implement necessary database tables, data strategies, and data flows in collaboration with the Application Development team.
  • Maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models, along with corresponding metadata, and recommend opportunities for model reuse.
  • Ensure optimal maintenance of data design environment and tools, such as ERwin, to support efficient operations.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience as a Data Designer or in a related role.
  • Expertise in data design, modeling, and database management, preferably with 10-15 years of overall experience.
  • Knowledge of P&C insurance industry is desirable.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
