Paralegal Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an Adjunct Instructor to teach Paralegal Studies courses at South Louisiana Community College. The successful candidate will have a strong background in paralegal studies and the ability to instruct students in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities:

• Teach Paralegal Studies courses, including introductory and advanced courses in areas such as contracts, torts, and civil procedure.
• Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of students and the paralegal profession.
• Assess student learning and provide feedback to students.
• Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, such as curriculum development and assessment.
• Stay current with developments in the paralegal field and incorporate best practices into teaching and curriculum.

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as a practicing attorney or paralegal.
• Experience teaching or instructing in a paralegal program.
• Strong knowledge of paralegal procedures and practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience teaching online or in a hybrid environment.
• Knowledge of assessment and evaluation methods.
• Experience with curriculum development and implementation.
