Substance Abuse Counselor

We are seeking a compassionate Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at MedMark Treatment Centers. As a Substance Abuse Counselor, you will play a critical role in assisting patients through medically assisted programs and providing techniques for handling opioid addiction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical services and patient care, including opiate addiction counseling services to patients receiving methadone maintenance and detoxification treatment.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions to assist patients with crisis management and coping strategies.
- Coordinate care of assigned patients and present patient status and concerns with the treatment team.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop and implement patient treatment plans according to State regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have current CAC-AD, CPC-AD, LCPC, and LADAC certifications as a Counselor at The Professional Board of Counselors & Therapist State of Maryland.
- Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check.
