About the Role

Taylor Technical Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Engineering Manager to join our team in Houston/Gulf Coast area and Alaska.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description

This role will oversee the planning, development, management, and direction of engineering activities associated with new business proposals and firm business projects. The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experience in leading engineering activities of large complex projects in the oil and gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, manage, and direct engineering activities for projects from $500K to over $50+ million.
  • Oversee the development of project deliverables, including drawings, vendor data, reports, calculations, etc.
  • Review and approve engineered products for soundness of technical judgment and overall adequacy and accuracy.
  • Hold weekly engineering update meetings with the project team to review progress, commitments, issues, etc.
  • Prepare monthly project reports and discuss them in the PE monthly meetings.
  • Travel domestically or internationally as required to support projects.
  • Lead the development of setting a milestone or critical path schedule for key project deliverables.
  • Ensure that vendor documentation is reviewed and returned per EDR schedule.
  • Satisfy any additional customer interface requirements beyond that which Company requires.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, preferred; Structural or Chemical Engineering degree acceptable.
  • Master of Science Degree in Engineering is a plus.
  • Professional Engineering License is a major plus.
  • 15+ years of experience in leading engineering activities of large complex projects in the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiar with common fabrication/construction codes and specifications.
  • Ability to work in the United States and able to travel internationally.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in problem solving and troubleshooting.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in the English language.
  • Proficient with MS O365 tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
