Medical Examiner for United States Veterans
3 weeks ago
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team at MRG Exams, where you will play a critical role in performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
This is an in-person position that requires reviewing medical records electronically through a web portal and conducting focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal. Importantly, this role does not involve making disability determinations, which are made solely by the United States Veterans Administration.
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in performing independent medical assessments, be able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions, and possess excellent time management skills to meet requirements.
In addition to your expertise and experience, you must hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license and be proficient in using a computer. Meeting the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA is also essential.
Benefits of this role include training and continued support provided by our organization, health insurance options available, and a computer supplied for your use. As a Medical Examiner for United States Veterans, you can expect to work with 3-5 patients per day, Monday through Friday, during normal business hours, without ever being on call. This clinical setting provides a stable and predictable schedule, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
We are eager to find someone who finds it rewarding to serve the veteran community and values working in a clinical environment. If you are motivated to contribute to the well-being of our nation's heroes, we encourage you to apply for this esteemed role. The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $110,000-$140,000, based on industry standards and location considerations.
