OPPORTUNITY:

PsyPhyCare, a division of Business Staffing of America, Inc., is looking to engage a Substance Abuse Counselor to support a federally funded initiative aimed at youth.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The primary responsibility of this position is to design and implement a comprehensive program focused on the prevention of alcohol, drug, and tobacco use among young individuals. The counselor will provide education and guidance to participants to help mitigate and avert substance-related issues that may lead to program disengagement.

In addition, the counselor will create tailored case management strategies to promote student retention and overall success within the program. It is crucial to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to all applicable HIPAA regulations.

This role requires a commitment of 17 hours per week, typically spread over two days during standard operating hours.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred. Candidates should possess at least one year of experience in substance abuse counseling or a related area. A valid in-state certification in Substance Abuse Counseling/Prevention is mandatory.

Required Certification: CADC

Required Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Counseling
