We are looking for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at Automationtechies.

Overview

A forward-thinking company, Automationtechies offers a hybrid work schedule with on-site visits every other week at the facility in Devens, Massachusetts.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in DeltaV systems and familiarity with Emerson MES to manage automation efforts individually, as well as collaborate with large cross-functional teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the design, configuration, testing, and commissioning of DeltaV control systems to ensure alignment with project goals and specifications.
  • Support and troubleshoot the integration between DeltaV and Emerson MES to ensure smooth data flow and system operation across platforms.
  • Draft and review user requirements, functional specifications, and project documentation to ensure comprehensive system designs and adherence to industry standards.
  • Execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT) for DeltaV systems, overseeing the commissioning process to ensure full operational readiness.
  • Work closely with large, diverse teams across departments, including engineering, operations, and IT, to ensure project milestones are met.

This role plays a critical part in designing, configuring, testing, and commissioning automation systems that support seamless integration between DeltaV and MES platforms.

Requirements

To be successful in this position, you should possess:

  • At least 6 years of hands-on experience with DeltaV systems, including design, configuration, testing, FAT/SAT, and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with Emerson MES system integration and support is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of drafting user requirements, design, and functional specifications, as well as necessary project documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and within large, cross-functional teams, driving projects forward with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience in supporting integration testing between DeltaV and MES platforms.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Automation, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of cGMP, FDA, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills, particularly with complex automation and control systems.
Compensation

The estimated annual salary range for this position is $120,000-$160,000, depending on your experience and qualifications.
