Job Title: Robotics Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Robotics Automation Engineer to join our team at Princeton University. The successful candidate will design and build a robotic manipulator with sub-millimeter accuracy, interface it with a control system, and collaborate with a robot vision engineer to control pick-and-place operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and build a robotic manipulator with sub-millimeter accuracy.
  • Develop a real-time closed-loop control system for the manipulator.
  • Collaborate with a robot vision engineer to control pick-and-place operations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Proficiency in mechanical design, CAD software, computer interfacing, and electronics.
  • Knowledge of robot kinematics, inverse kinematics, dynamics, and control systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electronic systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for technical details.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with micromanipulators.
