Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at O-I's Auburn facility in New York. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting various types of plant machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including lubrication, greasing, and oiling of plant machinery and equipment
  • Weld, braze, scrape, solder, and cut various types of metals necessary for maintenance repairs and fabrication of new components and equipment
  • Construct rigging and scaffolding as needed
  • Move heavy machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, shop hand-books, and layouts to perform maintenance tasks
Requirements
  • 4 years of relevant work experience or 2-year technical degree
  • Journeyman cardholder preferred
  • High School degree or GED
  • Basic PC literacy (Word, email, basic data entry)
  • Able to lift 40 lbs. on a regular basis
