Job Summary:

SLH-Sutter Lakeside Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist to join our team. As a Staff Pharmacist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products within our hospital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that medication orders are consistent with current medical practices, FDA and drug manufacturer recommendations, current literature, and other information sources.

  • Provide information and guidance to other healthcare providers on the proper administration of medications.

  • Collaborate with the Medical Staff Organization to resolve any variations from established standards and policies.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of drug utilization review procedures and therapeutic drug monitoring programs.

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and apply this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.

Requirements:

  • PharmD degree from an accredited pharmacy program.

  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state of California.

  • At least 2 years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting.

  • Strong knowledge of pharmacy practice, including drug therapy, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Residency or fellowship experience in pharmacy.

  • Experience with computerized pharmacy systems and software.

  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to pharmacy practice.
