Electrical Lineman

We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Lineman to join our team at IES Commercial, Inc. - C&I Division. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of electric transmission and distribution lines.

• Construct, install, maintain, and repair electric transmission and distribution lines
• Mentor and provide on-the-job training to helpers and apprentices
• Develop and maintain knowledge of electrical distribution and transmission line construction, including electrical apparatus such as single-phase transformers, three-phase transformer banks, voltage testing, rotation, and regulators, and line switching, clearance procedures, and grounding
• Ensure compliance with all company and customer safety policies and procedures
• Travel as required

• Successful completion of an accredited Journeyman Lineman program or equivalent experience
• 5 years of recent experience in transmission and/or distribution line construction (a plus)
• Supervisory experience and ability to assist foremen with daily tasks
• Class A or B CDL or ability to obtain
• Pass DOT physicals/drug tests as required
• Pass pre-employment (post-offer) drug test and MVR check
