Position Overview

The Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Technologist plays a crucial role in the specialized field of pediatric radiology and cardiology. This position involves working with advanced medical technologies to assist in diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for young patients.

Certification Requirements
  • ACLS: Advanced Cardiac Life Support
  • BLS: Basic Life Support
  • PALS: Pediatric Advanced Life Support
  • NRP: Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • State License Verification: Required
  • NURSYS Verification: For RN, LPN/LVN, AP
Job Responsibilities
  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Case Load: Approximately 3 cases per day per room (may vary between 1 to 2 rooms on certain days)
  • On-Call Duties: Up to 15 days per month, subject to staffing needs
  • Weekend Duties: On-call only, no scheduled procedures
Qualifications
  • Mandatory certifications: ACLS, ARRT, BLS, Fluoroscopy, PALS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Pediatric Cath Lab
  • First-time travelers are welcome
Schedule Information
  • On-call: Up to 15 days per month, contingent on staffing
  • Weekends: On-call only, no planned procedures
Additional Information
  • Government-issued photo ID is required
  • Verification of Tech Certification must be completed within 30 days of employment
  • Color Blind Testing must be completed online
  • Unit Competency Exam is required
