Blossom Bar Department Manager Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to oversee the operations of the Blossom Bar at Rainbow Blossom. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the Blossom Bar, including managing staff, maintaining inventory, and providing exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and Train Staff: Supervise and train a team of employees to ensure they are meeting expectations and providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain Inventory: Order and maintain inventory levels for all Blossom Bar products, including juices and milks.
  • Meet Financial Goals: Ensure the success of the Blossom Bar by meeting and/or exceeding financial goals set up for the department.
  • Ensure Food Safety: Maintain a solid understanding of food safety knowledge and ensure that all staff members are following established policies and procedures.
  • Manage Schedules: Create and maintain weekly schedules to ensure proper coverage every day throughout the week.
  • Conduct Payroll and Training: Conduct bi-weekly payroll processes and comprehensive training sessions for Blossom Bar employees.
  • Resolve Customer and Staff Issues: Resolve customer and staff questions, complaints, or concerns in a manner that ensures satisfaction and resolution.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 1+ years' experience in food handling and customer service.
  • Certification: Must have a Food Service Manager Certification completed within 90 days of hire.
  • Physical Demands: Lift up to 20 pounds often and 50 pounds rarely. Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time, to sit and squat or kneel occasionally, and to climb rarely.
