Applied Scientist

We are seeking an exceptional Applied Scientist to join our Amazon Web Services (AWS) Next Gen DevX (NGDE) team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building AI-based services for Amazon Q Developer, focusing on redefining the way developers work.

• Advise team members on machine learning topics and work closely with software engineers to deliver end-to-end modeling solutions.
• Take on complex problems that require scientific breakthroughs and drive innovation in cloud computing.
• Collaborate with the UC organization to support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (IoT), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS.

• PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Machine Learning, or a related field, with 4+ years of experience.
• 5+ years of experience building models for business applications, with a strong background in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, and experience with machine learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Experience in professional software development, with a focus on cloud computing and AI-based services.
