Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our team at Adams Power. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems and be able to work on a variety of commercial and industrial projects.


Compensation and Benefits
  • $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
  • Install, modify, and troubleshoot electrical systems, such as lighting, power distribution, motors, generators, transformers, switchgear, control panels, fire alarms, and data communication.
  • Test and inspect electrical systems and components using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace faulty or damaged wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand and power tools.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with other tradespeople, contractors, engineers, and customers.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent.
  • Follow all established safety policies and procedures and report any hazards or injuries to the supervisor.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor apprentice electricians and helpers.
  • Keep current on the latest developments and innovations in the electrical field.

Requirements
  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed as a Journeyman Electrician in Wisconsin (must be listed on resume and/or application)
  • OSHA 10 completed within 6-months of hire date
  • Valid Driver's License with no major violations the past 5-years (must be able to drive a company vehicle)

Schedule

The schedule for this role is primarily Monday - Friday, day-time hours. Later hours and weekends may be required depending on our workload and the needs/schedules of our customers/clients.


Physical Requirements

This position requires consistent heavy lifting of up to 75 pounds, in addition to possibly climbing onto roofs and/or tall buildings as well as attics and crawl spaces. You may need to use a bucket lift for some projects, elevated in the air. Additionally, you may be required to dig/trench outside in inclement weather as needed for projects. All safety measures will be taken and proper PPE (personal protective equipment) will be used in accordance with OSHA standards.
