Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Nurse Wound Care Specialist to join our team at Ellicott Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Buffalo, NY.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality wound care services to our residents, including cleaning and dressing wounds, completing admission paperwork, and monitoring residents' progress. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams to resolve resident problems and needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and dressing wounds in accordance with established protocols
  • Completing admission paperwork and documenting resident care services
  • Providing advice and support to residents and their families
  • Monitoring residents' progress and administering medication and treatments as needed
  • Documenting resident care services and tracking infection control
  • Reporting monthly data on infection control and resident outcomes

Requirements:

  • Current NYS State RN License
  • Long-term care experience preferred
  • Wound and ostomy certification required
  • Solid computer skills and working knowledge of MS Office
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
