**Job Summary**

BlueScope Recycling is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II- Night Shift to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and routine repairs on our industrial equipment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conducts periodic safety and maintenance inspections to evaluate replacement equipment and identify wear and damage.
  • Uses technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors.
  • Orders parts needed for replacement and coordinates with service providers to complete maintenance tasks.
  • Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

**Requirements:**

  • 1-3+ years of related experience, or may need 0 years of experience with additional specialized training and/or certification.
  • Requires a high school diploma.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Sit, stand, walk, and stoop for long periods of time.
  • Able to climb in/on mobile equipment.
  • Exposure to physical operations in scrap recycling facilities, including walking/climbing in active industrial yards with uneven surfaces in inclement weather.
