About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Parks Construction Worker. As a key member of our parks construction team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of skilled construction tasks related to the development and maintenance of the Adams County Parks & Open Space System.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform skilled construction tasks, including carpentry, masonry, and landscaping
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of parks and open space facilities
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Operate heavy equipment and machinery, such as backhoes and skid-steer loaders
  • Ensure a safe working environment and adhere to all safety protocols
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field, such as construction or landscaping
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
