Job Title: MRI Technologist

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation.

Job Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in MRI technology
  • ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty
About the Job:

This is a travel assignment with a 13-week duration, working 32 hours per week with 8-hour shifts. The job is located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As an MRI Tech, you will be responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests and explain imaging procedures to patients
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment
  • Assist radiologist with procedure performance
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality and collate processed images
