Position Summary:
The Entry Level Automation Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and repair of automation systems and related equipment. Effective communication with customers, production teams, and support groups is essential. Accurate documentation of work performed is critical for achieving World Class Maintenance standards.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preventive maintenance and daily repairs of automation systems and auxiliary machinery.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and checking production machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic systems on automation machines and supporting equipment.
  • Collaborate with equipment vendors to identify and quote appropriate replacement parts.
  • Manage spare parts inventory for automation and auxiliary equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of machine maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
  • Adhere to 5S standards to promote workplace organization.
  • Foster team collaboration and cohesiveness.
  • Engage with other departments such as Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Production.
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance record.
  • Ensure safe work practices, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, kneel, crouch, and work in various positions.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Knowledge & Skills:
  • General mechanical skills related to industrial machinery.
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuits.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical/electronic schematics.

Personal Computer Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Positive attitude.

Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High School Diploma required.

Work Environment:
  • Work is conducted in a clean room environment.
  • Job duties may require prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or kneeling.
  • Technician will utilize a computer or touchscreen for data entry.
  • Travel requirements are typically less than 5% of the time.
