Job Summary:
Advocate Health Services is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team as an Agency/Contractor. This role offers flexible scheduling options, including full-time, part-time, or PRN hours, with competitive rates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images of internal anatomy functions.
- Calibrate and manipulate equipment to capture accurate images or videos of abnormalities.
- Discreetly inform medical staff of any concerns or abnormalities detected during procedures.
- Prepare exam rooms, assist with ultrasound procedures and biopsies, and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage patient flow, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a student or registered technologist.
- Preferred 2+ years of experience in ultrasound imaging.
Education and Certifications:
- Minimum Required: Completion of ARRT Ultrasound program or equivalent ARDMS standards.
- Preferred: Bachelor of Health Science in Radiologic Sciences.
- Minimum Required: KSBHA license.
- Minimum Required: BLS, RDMS in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or RVT.
